A decade of reliable laundry
I live rural, tank water, gravity fed. Ten years ago a lightning strike cooked the pre-existing Bosch front loader - you get that living in the sticks. That old one was at least a decade old. The insurance claim was a bonus and I bought this one in December 2016. For a decade it didn't miss a beat. It washed whatever my household threw at it. Alas in its dying throes it decided to go walkabout when it was spin drying because the spin dampers wear out. It made much better sense to buy a new one ($1185 delivered, Bosch of course, old one taken away) than try to get the old one repaired. Yep, the new one will do me well for at least another decade.

Washer should outlast me
This is the 2nd Bosch front loader we have had. The last one went for 14 years being used daily with only the opening handle and rubber door gasket being replaced by my husband. So we looked at really only Bosch ( we have a Bosch dishwasher too) So far the new machine is very quiet, has a great look in our laundry and has many varied cycles which do the job well.
