A Quiet Revolution in My Kitchen

I'll admit I was hesitant to make the switch from gas to induction — I'd cooked on a gas hob my whole life and couldn't imagine giving up that tactile control. The Bosch Series 6 PVS631HC1H changed my mind completely, and within a week I couldn't imagine going back. The temperature control on this cooktop is genuinely impressive. Multiple power levels give you a granularity that gas simply can't match. The SpeedBoost feature is a revelation. Water for pasta that used to take eight minutes on my old gas hob now boils in under four. I expected a learning curve with the touch controls, but the DirectSelect interface is clean and logical from the first use. The seamless black ceramic surface wipes down in seconds. The residual heat indicators are clear and reliable, and the automatic pan detection means the hob only activates when a compatible pot is placed on it. Minor considerations: You'll need induction-compatible cookware if you're switching from gas, so factor that into your budget.

I have been a gas cooker for decades and was disappointed when doing a kitchen renovation in my new house that we didn't have a gas connection. I had to do lots of research into induction hobs (all very confusing as each brand and model has different features) In any case I settled with this one and had hopes it would be good, but not high hopes compared to gas. Well, I have been completely blown away! This cooktop is not only super fast and powerful, it's also senstive to cooking power changes. I have lots of room to link hobs and a big pan ring in the centre. Can sear and do stir fry's easily and gently keep things warm on lower heats. It boils water far quicker than my kettle and is the easiest to use. No need to read the instructions, its intuitive. I was so apprehensive about getting an induction but as a person who loves to cook complicated dishes, I'm so impressed and didn't think I'd be writing a gushing review. It's a good one! and easy to clean as well, bonus.

Excellent Cooktop

We recently installed this cooktop and it has been an excellent addition to the kitchen. It can boil a saucepan of water in about 30 seconds - 1 minute, has an easy-to-use interface, and even a hob where you can set the desired temperature and the cooktop does the rest. 5/5 star

Excellent oven

We have recently had this oven installed and are amazed by its numerous functions. Cooking is now incredibly simple with the easy to use user interface. The other night we cooked a leg of lamb, we selected the correct setting, inserted the meat probe, selected the desired internal temperature, and the oven controlled the entire cooking process to deliver a leg of lamb that was evenly cooked throughout. 5/5 stars.
